The incapability of the human mind to fight the feeling of despair caused by the inevitable fact of mortality and the transient nature of existence as whole has resulted into the philosophising of life and assigning a greater purpose to one's existence which then threads the communities, societies and humane thinking in general to create groups, isms, dogmas, religion and what not. What if the life or existence is for its own sake; cause it can be so it is, with no greater purpose to it? What if nature exists just as an after effect of observation by the sentient life? No existence without an observer. People stress the trifles not acknowledging the fact that eventually nothing matters as everything is transient.
